Crews

A crew is a group of Mains that sticks together — a band, a friend group, a local chapter, a team. Crews grow naturally out of vibes: the people you keep gathering with become a thing with a name.

What works today

  • Create a crew and give it a name. Any member can rename it later — a crew belongs to everyone on it.
  • Crew titles. Every member gets a playful film-credit style title when they join (something like "Boom Operator"), suggested automatically. Any member can edit any title afterwards; titles stay short and never replace your real profile name.
  • Crew-only profile pictures. You can put a different picture on your own seat in a crew. Only that crew ever sees it; everywhere else you keep your normal profile picture, and members who don't set one simply show their normal picture inside the crew too.
  • Invite accepted connections, and let them join when they choose.
  • Tag the crew's eligible members on a moment in one step. They then participate through the moment's ordinary tagged-Main visibility and $MAIN split.
  • Bail at any time. Membership is voluntary; leaving removes you from the crew without changing anyone else's account.

What is still ahead

Crew-owned moments or vibes, a shared crew wallet, and member-configured earnings rules are not live yet. The money side of crews will only ship under a reviewed design — see The economy.
